Kanpur is also well known for its ghats. There are several Ghats here whose history is very interesting. The name of the Brahmavart Ghat of Bithur comes first in this. It is believed to be the center of the world. It is said about Bithoor that Brahma had created the universe here and performed the Ashwamedha Yajna.
As a memorial of the Yagya, he had installed a horse’s shoe, which is still present on the Brahmavart Ghat. After being defeated in the Third Maratha War in 1818, Bajirao had decided to live in Bithoor after taking a pension from the British. With the arrival of Peshwa, a new chapter started in the history of that place. There are a total of 52 ghats here, whose beautification work is underway.

Sarsaiya Ghat

When the owner of the cow saw this sight and got the excavation done, a Shivling was found here, which could not be removed even after lakhs of efforts. This Anandeshwar temple was established in the name of cow itself.
Blueworld Theme Park
